If living through 2020 has taught us anything it is that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Of course Hunters & Anglers have lived with this realization quite some time. the Spectre of CWD hemorrhagic disease and other zoonotic diseases and invasive species represent growing threats to our peruits, our health and our way of life. We strongly support HB 3152 on the basis that it would enable the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to implement Wildlife check stations that would monitor or these biological hazards deter unlawful take and otherwise aide in the management of our cherished wildlife.

We hope that this authorization puts another tool ODFW’s toolbox,  but readily acknowledge the funding challenges that agency faces. For this reason we ask that you also visit this page to learn about securing broad-based funding for ODFW via HB 3328. Make your voice heard!
