Your Oregon Chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers has been working tirelessly with sports groups in review and response to the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife 2022 Eastern Archery Elk Controlled Tag proposal - Eastern Oregon archery elk hunting changes being considered (state.or.us)
In response to input from Oregon BHA members, based on the mission and values of BHA and in collaboration with other groups within the state, your chapter has developed an alternate plan that it has presented to the ODFW project team for their review. The Oregon BHA board feels this alternate plan represents the interests of all Oregon hunters, maintains backcountry hunting opportunities and provides ODFW with the tools to achieve their stated objectives.
ODFW is seeking input on their plan and any others. Please let the department know of your feelings on their proposal as well as the Oregon BHA Micro Zone concept. Public comments may be submitted at [email protected]
