We are excited to announce Oklahoma BHA’s first event of the fall season. Our annual deer camp will be held at Ft. Gibson WMA on October 7th-9th. Tent camping is available for our group in Sequoyah state park at the Creek campground area. A link is provided below to reserve your campsite. If you have campsites questions contact Kevin Osborn.
The weekend will be focused on archery hunting. The event is open to all, BHA members and those who want to learn more about our mission and hunting techniques in general. There will be a “family night fish fry” Saturday the 9th. This will be a great opportunity to invite everyone’s families out to enjoy food and time around the campfire.
Just outside of the state park BHA will provide a cleaning station and archery range for last minute tuning and practice. Should you need help butchering your harvest board members have offered to assist and teach butchering throughout the weekend.
Ft. Gibson WMA has over 21,000 acres of hunting available and boasts the highest deer density of any WMA in the state. Should you need help on areas to scout please reach out, there are many folks within BHA willing to help. We look forward to seeing you all there to kick of our 2022 season.
