After the way the last year has gone, we all need a bit of a revival. Join Ohio Backcountry Hunters & Anglers for a healthy dose of sunshine, ramps, morels and thunder chickens in the Vinton Furnace State Forest to kick this Spring off right!
Friday evening we will have a turkey calling class, a spring edibles class, roost some turkeys (hopefully), have a showing of Stars In The Sky: A Hunting Story in the Forest Service Training Center and a campfire outside afterwards. Saturday morning is Youth Turkey opening day and the turkey hunting at Vinton Furnace State Forest is better than outstanding. Camping is available for free with a valid hunting license at the Hunters Camp. There are no designated spots and camping is first come, first serve.
Whether you come for the whole weekend or just to get some knowledge, we look forward to seeing you!
