event_description: Join the Ohio Chapter of the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, Ohio Women on the Fly, and Cleveland Museum of Natural History Trout Club at 8th Day Brewing in Chagrin Falls Saturday, September 24 for this free event to celebrate National Public Lands Day!The brewery is right next to LaDue Wildlife Area, which is 8,800 acres of hunting and fishing access for all, so enjoy a day in the woods or on the water before the festivities. We will be tent camping that night at the brewery, camping is $20 and comes with 2 raffle tickets.General admission to this event is FREE with costs only for camping, and the Fly Casting and Tying Class. (See below for links to reserve space)There will be a food truck and DJ on site.Some great prizes from our sponsors G&H Decoys, SITKA Gear, Skwala Fly Fishing, Scientific Anglers , and ORVIS will be raffled off exclusively at this event. The raffle drawing will be at 7p.m. Must be present to win. Fly Casting and Tying Class: From 1pm-4pm we will hold a Fly Casting and Tying Class lead by fly fishing author Jerry Darkes. This class is $25 and only 20 spots are available. Registration fee includes the class, a fly-tying kit, a beer, and a chance to win a signed book by Jerry. This will be a fantastic day celebrating our public lands! We are excited to see you there!Note: We will also draw the winner of the Ohio Chapters Guided Ohio Muzzleloader Hunt at this event (do NOT need to be present to win). This is a separate drawing and ticket than the other prizes but will be available for purchase at the event. You will receive free entry to this raffle along with a customer Gerber Knife with the BHA logo laser engraved on the blade if you join or renew your BHA membership at the event. The knife will be sent from our BHA headquarters.
