OH Chapter Update

The Ohio Chapter has been doing great work with completing their strategic plan and now looking to advance their impact throughout the great state. These folks are active outdoors enthusiasts and excellent conservationists! 

The chapter was assisting with rerouting sections of the Archers Fork Trail in the Wayne National Forest Marietta Unit on April 2nd. The participants assisted with clearing sections for the reroute of the trail and made great progress during through their assistance. 

They hosted their first OH BHA Clay Pigeon Shoot on May 14th at the Sycamore Sporting Clays facility in Montgomery, OH. This great even yielded several participants and allowed folks a chance to win some great prizes during their friendly competition. A free wild game lunch was served to those that showed and fantastic conversations were had by all. It's these types of events that really yield some great fun and create an atmosphere for deep conversations about the BHA and Chapter Missions! It's certainly a hope that this will be an annual event and with substantial growth! 

The Ohio Chapter is keeping close tabs on local, state, and federal policies. Collaborating with various conservation organizations affiliated with the Ohio Conservation Federation, the OH BHA Chapter is providing insight and expertise on various conservation topics. The chapter leaders are often consulted concerning state policy issues deeming this chapter a forefront in Ohio conservation!
