Join Virginia AFI for a day on the trails in Prince William Forest Park
Located in Northern Virginia just off I-95 is Prince William Forest Park. This is a wonderful gem in this part of the state that can really make you forget about about all the hustle and bustle just outside its borders. This event is just an opportunity for members to get together and get some miles under their feet, break away from the busy schedules and act as a reminder that we have amazing public lands available to us.
So, come on out and join us for a relaxing day in the woods. Be sure to bring plenty of water and trail snacks. Recommend bringing a small cooler to put some cold drinks and a sandwich in for when we get back to our vehicles.
Meet up location is at the parking lot just past the Turkey Run Ridge Campground.
Coordinates: 38.582794, -77.373670
We will link up at 8AM and get accountability then take off on the Turkey Run Ridge trail.
This is a 7.3 mile long trail and generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 42 min to complete.
