In 2018, the NDBHA Board of Directors embarked on their first major boots-on-the-ground project in cooperation with the Dakota Prairie Grasslands office. The ND Board members were the sole participants for this project for logistical reasons and to establish a foundation for our newly formed board. For that project we placed around 50 signs along the Non-Motorized boundaries in the Grasslands.
For 2019, in continuation of our partnership with the DPG office and to expand NDBHA's impact on the Little Missouri National Grasslands, we are organizing a new signage project. NDBHA volunteers will be placing over 100 marker signs(and posts) across the Grasslands in 4 counties. This project will begin on the weekend of June 29th and 30th with the potential for a second weekend needed to complete the project. For the signage projects, we will be camping throughout the Grasslands in USFS campgrounds.
