The Armed Forces Initiative is the BHA program focused on creating conservationists within the military community. Our dual-skills camps are designed to teach the military community how to get out and enjoy our public lands and waters through hunting or fishing.
This Dual Skills Camp is a learn-to-hunt event. Attendees will be mentored through a waterfowl hunting experience from the preparation and gear phase through the post-harvest meal prep. AFI mentors will host attendees talking through the ins and outs of waterfowl hunting. After hunting, our Nebraska liaison will discuss how hunting affects conservation in NE, what is the North American model of conservation, and how participants can use their voices as members of the military community to support BHA's conservation mission.
Attendees can expect classes on:
-Waterfowl Biology
-Waterfowl Habitat
-How to use a duck call
