The weight has been lifted! Experience hunting in Montana like never before! Thanks to a generous donation by Access WILD, the Montana Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is offering a backcountry llama package to make your hunt - and your packout - a bit more enjoyable.
"Renting llamas from Access WILD was the best choice I could have made for my 2021 backcountry elk hunt. The workshop was quick, informative and I felt confident to take these animals with me on my hunt. Turns out they didn't help us kill an elk, but they sure made getting camp in and out a breeze, and they would have been lifesavers if we found the bull we were looking for and needed to get it back to the truck. This 3-day llama packing package includes three (3) experienced and well-trained llamas for three (3) full days and a trailer to transport them! Before driving off with your new packstring, the winner will be required to attend a few hour on-site, llama-packing workshop with Access WILD. A 1/2-ton towing rig (or larger) and a 2'' (or 2 5/16'') ball hitch is required and not provided.
Package is good for three-consecutive days between November 1 - December 15, 2021 or can be pushed into spring/summer 2022 in case of inclement weather. Additional rental days can be discussed with Access WILD. Llamas must be picked up and dropped off in Helena, MT. We are only able to accept debit cards for this auction.
