The Armed Forces Initiative is the BHA program focused on creating conservationists within the military community. Mountain Home AFI in a collaboration with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) invites all BHA members to join us for this stewardship event.
Join us for a day of pulling old fences off of wintering range outside of Mountain Home, ID. It’ll be a great opportunity for those interested in improving our public lands and wildlife populations. We plan on removing about a mile of fence from the Pony Creek area, we’ll see you there!
What to bring:
-gloves
-water
-snacks
-boots
-clothes suitable for the forecasted weather
When is it:
June 6th from 9AM-5PM
Where is it:
Pony Creek
3.5 miles down National Forest Development Road 131 after the cutoff from Highway 20

Who can attend:
- This event is open to all members of the military community
(Active duty, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans, and Gold Star families)
- You do not need to be a BHA member to attend
(but we sure would appreciate it if you were)
- All BHA members
This will be a great opportunity for AFI and BHA members to gather and learn from one another while working together to improve our public lands.
