We are an informed and engaged group of Montana hunters and anglers who value the challenge, peace and solitude that occurs with a quiet-use backcountry experience. We value the wild lands, wildlife and fish that make Montana a special place to live and worthy of the title "Last Best Place."
As an all-volunteer grassroots group, Montana BHA works across our diverse public lands, from grasslands to peaks. We strive to protect large parcels of backcountry fish and wildlife habitat, as well as the opportunity for traditional non-motorized hunting and fishing experiences.
As Montana sportsmen and -women, we recognize that standing up for these threatened resources, values and opportunities now is the only way our kids will have the same opportunities in the future. Join us now to make Montana BHA stronger and more effective!
The transfer of public lands continues to show its head in the Montana legislature. Despite strong opposition from Montana sportsmen, some of our state legislators continue to work against our best interests.
Join us in Helena at the Capitol Rotunda on Monday, Jan. 30, at noon to show your support for public lands. Come dressed in camo or blaze orange and send a clear message to our elected officials: Montana sportsmen and women will not waver when it comes to our hunting, fishing and public lands heritage.
If you would like to attend, please sign up at this link. Free transportation to Helena will be provided from many locations around the state.
Whether you will be able to join us or not, please take a moment to sign this petition to keep public lands public!
Guest speakers include Gov. Steve Bullock, mountaineering legend Conrad Anker, fly fishing guide and TV host Hilary Hutcheson, and K.C. Walsh, CEO of Simms.
