This is your invitation to join us Saturday, April 5thth at the new Sitka Gear Store in Maple Grove, MN. We will be taking over the store from 12-4PM with presentations hardcore turkey hunters, BHA staff, Chapter Leaders and more. We will cover everything from biology and conservation to scouting and access to gear and wild game. Learn the basics that will get you excited and help you feel safe and confident as you head into the woods.
Turkey hunting is one of the best ways to be introduced to hunting, wild game, and helps build a greater appreciation for conservation. About Your Presenter:
Aaron Hebeisen
Aaron is the Midwest Chapter Coordinator at Backcountry Hunters & Anglers. He is a wildlife biologist, public lands advocate, and an obsessive turkey hunter. Growing up in Minnesota, he didn’t have turkeys that far north and was introduced to turkey hunting in college. His passion for wild things and wild places led him to professional roles with federal and state wildlife agencies and hunting industry brands before finding a home at BHA where he supports 10 states around the U.S. He lives in Southeastern MN with his wife and 2-year old son. Aaron enjoys mentoring new hunters and introducing people to a life closer to nature, be that for ducks, deer, and ESPECIALLY the kings of spring- the wild turkey.
If you have questions about the event, please reach out to Aaron Hebeisen from BHA!
