Are you interested in spending time outdoors? Are you looking for a way to become more connected with nature and your food? Sign up for the Hunting for Sustainability: Learn to Turkey Hunt Course hosted by the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers with Modern Carnivore on March 27th & 28th.
BHA’s Hunting for Sustainability addresses the challenge some would-be hunters experience as they attempt to break into the sport, offering novices a hands-on weekend of learning guided by seasoned hunters and other experts. This course will cover the ethics and history of hunting, the basic skills and equipment needed to go hunt turkeys, how to find places to hunt, how to care for and butcher turkeys, and much more! The first evening of the class will be from 6-9 PM, March 27th. The second day will be at the SCALE Training Facility where we will have a full day of class time, a range visit, and exploring habitats to learn how to find places to hunt turkeys. This course will allow you to be paired with a mentor to enjoy a safe and fun turkey hunt this spring. We are limited to 20 spots to ensure you get the most out of this experience.
