event_description: Help CPW remove 4 MILES of old fence to reconnect important habitat!Come join BHA and CPW for a weekend of fence removal at the Dan Noble State Wildlife Area (SWA) south of Norwood, CO. The Miramonte reservoir is the center piece of the SWA and we will be helping CPW remove up to 4 miles of old sheep wire fence around the East boundary of the reservoir which will be replaced by a wildlife-friendly fence. The fence project is located along a main county road and CPW will have an implement on their tractor to roll up the wire after we have removed all the fence clips/ties/staples. We will also be pulling metal fence posts after the wire is removed and loading them into a CPW trailer. Event Schedule: Friday Aug. 9th9:00 am: Meet at the Miramonte campground on the east side of the lake. 9:00-9:30 am: Brief introductions, project overview and safety talk. 9:30-4:00 pm: Pull fencing with lunch provided by BHA (sandwiches, chips, fruit, drinks). Friday evening: for those that want to camp we will have campsites secured at the Miramonte campground.
