Or, do you know someone who is interested in learning how to deer hunt? If so, this is the perfect opportunity for you. The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) and the Michigan Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA) have partnered together to offer a Field to Fork / Hunting for Sustainability mentored deer hunt in Michigan in October of 2019!BHA’s Hunting for Sustainability addresses the challenge some would-be hunters experience as they attempt to break into the sport, offering novices a hands-on weekend of learning guided by seasoned hunters and other experts. You can find more information on the Hunting for Sustainability program at https://www.backcountryhunters.org/huntingforsustainabilityField to Fork is a food-focused hunter recruitment program for adults from non-hunting backgrounds. Participants in the program will learn how to hunt and acquire a wild, healthy, local, sustainable source of food on their own. You can find more information on the Field to Fork Program at www.qdma.com/recruit/field-to-fork/. If this sounds like something you or someone you know would like to participate in, please fill out this application. We will be accepting 6-8 individuals to go through the program this year.
