event_description: Grab your leather gloves and help the Washington chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife remove barbed wire fencing on the Methow Wildlife Area near Bear Creek, Winthrop, WA on Saturday, May 6th. The Methow Valley has the largest migratory mule deer population in the state. Heres your chance to help the local WDFW improve this critical, low-elevation winter range for Methow mule deer. Afterwards, well celebrate our hard work with a BBQ hosted by the WA BHA Chapter and WDFW. Make it a weekend event and join us at a free, group camping spot near the work site and just outside of Winthrop, WA. Campground Address: Link to google maps here.
