According to fifth-century B.C. Greek historian, Xenophon wrote, "Hunting and hounds were first an invention of the Gods". Reports of small pack hounds employed to hunt rabbit and hare have been dated all the way back to 55 B.C.
The Wisconsin Chapter of BHA is offering a "Learn-to-hunt" opportunity for new hunters and/or those that have the desire to become houndsmen and women to experience hunting for rabbits behind a group of trained beagles. This hunt will take place at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve in Vernon County, WI. Exact location will be shared with attendants prior to the hunt date. No experience required. Attendance is limited. Appropriate hunting licenses required.
