Do you long to connect with nature in its purest form? If so, we invite you to embark on an exhilarating journey with us as we explore the art of grouse hunting on Minnesotas beautiful public lands. Hosted by Minnesota BHA and The Trust for Public Land, as aligned partners our shared vision revolves around protecting, providing for, and preserving public land.This is our second workshop with our Learn to Hunt and Fish Program. The goal of this program is twofold: to equip you with the tools and resources to become an ethical hunter and to foster a sense of inclusiveness, diversity and representation across Minnesotas public lands in the context of access for all.  This workshop is designed to engage a diverse group of new hunters and conservationists. Our target audience are first-time hunters from communities of color or historically marginalized populations. The program follows a hybrid model, featuring a weekly virtual class starting the first week of September, leading up to an in-person, three-day mentored hunt from October 18th to October 20th. Our program will provide you with valuable insights into understanding land regulations, navigation, and identifying suitable hunting areas within public lands. Youll learn about the importance of respecting designated zones, maintaining trails, and minimizing your environmental impact while enjoying the wilderness. By mastering these fundamentals, youll not only enhance your hunting experience but also contribute to the sustainable management and preservation of our public lands for future generations to enjoy.3. Connect with Nature: Theres nothing quite like the serenity of the forest and the crisp morning air as you set out on your hunt. Lose yourself in the beauty of our public lands, and gain a newfound appreciation for the natural world and the importance of conservation.4. Build Camaraderie: Share laughs, stories, and unforgettable moments with fellow hunters as you bond over your shared love of the outdoors. By participating in this event, youll not only learn how to hunt responsibly but also gain a deeper respect for the wildlife and habitats that make our public lands so special.6. Gear and Equipment: Dont worry if you dont have all the gear—basic equipment will be provided.
