Join the Illinois Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers for a day on the water! Bring your canoe, kayak, or paddleboard and enjoy a day of paddling just for fun or throw in your fishing gear and fish Lake Shelbyville while exploring your public lands and waters.
Learn about the water access laws in Illinois, and what IL BHA is doing to help open up additional opportunities for you.
If you are feeling competitive, a loop paddle race will start and finish at the Lake Shelbyville 9th Street High Water Boat Ramp at Dam West Access Area.
Registration runs at the ramp from 8:30-9:30AM on race day.
Race Begins at 10:00AM.
Prizes will be awarded for categories:
Adult- Canoe or Kayak
Adult- Paddleboard
High School- Canoe or Kayak
High School Paddleboard

*All participants must wear a life jacket
** Safety waivers will be available at registration and must be signed to participate.
