Join the Illinois Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and our conservation partners on May 16-18 in Shelbyville, IL for a weekend of events to celebrate this exciting new public land opportunity that is over 3 years in the making!

We will have activities going all weekend, so there will be something for everyone in your crew! From great music and food, to archery shooting and prizes and raffles from our partners, to a public land cleanup event, you won't want to miss it!! Bring your friends and family and spend the weekend or just a day. This grand opening weekend is FREE and open to the public.
About the Park:
Lake Shelbyville Archery Park was developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Illinois Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers in collaboration with the Lake Shelbyville Youth Ambassadors and Illinois S3DA.
Features include:
A 12-station 3-D target trail through hardwood timber hills
A fully accessible practice range with 10, 20, 30, and 40-yard bag targets
A seated-accessible blind for practice
A youth-only fishing pond with a covered dock
Camping available on a first-come, first-served basis at Opossum Creek Recreation Area. Other campgrounds can be reserved.
