On August 19th from 9-1pm the Kentucky Backcountry Hunters & Anglers in partnership with Kentucky Hunters of Color and Mercer County Fish & Game Club will be hosting a one-day shotgun skills workshop at the Mercer County Fish & Game Club. All are welcome to attend, but groups will go in heats and be limited shooters at a time. This is an educational community event aimed at preparing our mentees for upcoming hunts. We have been asked to limit our entire group size to 15 shooters.
At this event you’ll learn:
The types of shotguns
Shotgun components and names
Proper and safe shooting form
Shooting safety
Hands-on shooting experience with the available shotgun types
Experience shooting moving targets
This is a fantastic opportunity to get first-hand experience with shotguns and shooting safety with experts in this field! Then, you will have the first steps and basic knowledge to cultivate this into exciting experiences!
