The Kirtland AFB Armed Forces Initiative Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is holding a Fly Fishing Workshop for Military and Veterans.
Our event will begin with a classroom presentation designed for beginner anglers. We will discuss fly fishing equipment, knots, fly selection, techniques, etiquette, and casting. We will end the day with hands on instruction on the water.
Attendance is limited and RSVPs are required (Please let us know if you RSVP and cannot attend so we can make the spot available to someone else). Attendees are encouraged to bring their own fly fishing gear: rods, reels, flies, waders, etc. A limited amount of loaner gear will be available as well.
Fishing Licenses are available for purchase at Online Licensing System - NMDGF (state.nm.us)
The workshop will be held in Albuquerque, NM at the Game and Fish Office.
Adam Barkalow a local Fish biologist is our guest speaker.
Date: 28 May with an arrival time of 0800 and end at 1600
