Join BHA for a North East Florida small Game hunt at 6:30 AM at the Jennings Forest WMA. Members and guests will rendezvous at the Bluejay Drive parking area located off of County Road 218 (Google Coordinates 30.0953315, -819184459}
Jennings Forest comprises nearly 24,000 acres protect the headwaters of Black Creek and contain excellent examples of sandhills and seepage slopes. Historically the area has yielded hundreds of squirrels to small game hunters and part of Jennings was selected as an Upland Ecosystem Restoration Project. This means that special funding and intensive habitat management practices are underway to restore a 5,000-acre area for upland species such as the gopher tortoise and the northern bobwhite.
Come out and experience one of North East Florida’s most beautiful WMAs.
All participants planning to hunt must have a Florida Hunting License and Management Area Permit.
