Idaho BHA assisting BLM with public lands clean-up project near Emmett

Idaho BHA is looking for volunteers to be part of a large cleanup effort on public lands managed by BLM on Saturday, September 22. The Boise District of the BLM has identified over 30 sites the area that have experienced littering and illegal dumping. There will be 150 students from the Emmett High School there as volunteers. BHA volunteers will be utilized to help with the trash cleanup and potentially supervise the students. BLM is also asking for any volunteers that can supply a pickup and/or a trailer for moving the trash. BLM will provide garbage bags and gloves and there will be portable toilets onsite. Volunteers should bring their own food and beverage. Volunteers should meet at Emmett High School at 10:00AM. The project will likely take 4-6 hours, beginning in the morning. To volunteer for this project, please email [email protected].
