Modeled after the Olympic sport of Biathlon, the Hunter’s Biathlon is a friendly competition consisting of hiking or running, and shooting, designed to hone the practical skills and fitness you’ll need to be successful deer hunting. We’ll have some merchandise on hand, talk about New England Chapter activities and, most importantly, the upcoming fall hunting season!
We will be taking special precautions at this event to follow coronavirus guidelines, including:
All participants must bring a face mask. Face masks must be worn whenever a distance of at least 6 feet cannot be maintained per VT mandate. Note that a “buff” or neck gaiter constitutes a face covering.
- Anyone that is not feeling well or is experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 such as fever, shortness of breath or coughing/sneezing, or has been in contact with someone that has recently tested positive must stay home.
- Attendees must follow both handwashing and coughing/sneezing etiquette. We will supply hand sanitizer that participants can use during the event.
- Persons traveling in private vehicles shall limit passengers to their immediate household members
People traveling from out of state to this project need to follow the following guidance (effective Aug 5th):
Travelers from certain counties with low rates of active cases (Green Counties at this link -https://accd.vermont.gov/covid-19/restart/cross-state-travel ) do not need to quarantine when they arrive in Vermont.
- If you are visiting Vermont from a county in a yellow or red zone at the link above you must quarantine for 14 days once you arrive and before participating in this event.
