Let's face it, we all know there's big deer at Ft. Knox! Well, have you ever seriously considered trying to hunt there? It can definitely seem intimidating or maybe not worth the effort, but that's where you'd be wrong. If you want to learn how to have access to over 65,000 acres of hunting land, then this is the pint night for you!
Join us June 13th beginning at 6pm as we'll have Colonel David Spess, the Ft. Knox AFI Club Leader, and Retired Colonel Mike Abell giving a detailed presentation on everything you need to know so that you can be hunting there by this fall. Ft. Knox is open for public hunting, and we believe that once you attend this event, you'll realize that it's not nearly as difficult as you might think.
Ft. Knox not only allows deer hunting but offers other incredible opportunities such as turkey and small game hunting along with fishing! You'll have the chance to learn all about hunting and fishing at Ft. Knox and ask questions with individuals who know the process. As if this event couldn't sound any better, everything you learn at this pint night also applies to Ft. Campbell in southwestern Kentucky.
Now, a little bit about the venue. Red Hog is Louisville's first craft butcher shop featuring meats from local farms committed to sustainable, humane, and ethical farming practices. Red Hog supports local beef, pork, chicken, and lamb husbandry all raised in the immediate region. Products are made available as fresh cuts, cooked or cured, whole birds as well as time-honored favorites such as bologna, braunschweiger, pastrami, and mortadella. Built around the love of cooking with live fire, Red Hog features rotating smoked meats and exposed kitchen focused on a live wood burning oven and grill. Visiting Red Hog feeds all the senses and sustenance needs.
Come on out for some great food, cold drinks, and a chance to learn all about this public hunting opportunity in our own backyard!
As are all of our Pint Nights, this will be a casual, fun way to meet fellow hunters and anglers, swap stories and learn about BHA and our mission to conserve public lands and waters. BHA members advocate for public hunting and fishing and we work to maintain and improve access to places to hunt and fish. We also speak up for wildlife, guided by the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. Finally, we believe in and advocate for fair chase in pursuit of fish and game. If those ideals resonate with you, please come join us to learn more and maybe become part of BHA. This event is open to all and is nationally sponsored by our friends at ONX Hunt, who will provide a free, one-year OnX Single State Premium Membership for the first 15 attendees who initiate or renew a BHA membership at this event. BONUS:THE FIRST 15 PEOPLE THAT JOIN OR RENEWS THEIR BHA MEMBERSHIP WILL ALSO GET A FREE BEER COURTESY OF ONX!
