If you’re up for a hike-to-fish challenge and are interested in getting outdoors with Boulder County and front-range BHA members and friends, join us Saturday July 10th at 8am to hike from the East Portal trailhead in Rollinsville up to Crater Lakes. The hike from the East Portal trailhead to Crater Lakes is about 4 miles, so it’ll be at least a ~8-mile day. We’ll be alpine lake fishing for brook trout primarily.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife will NOT be able to provide rods and reels for this hike-to-fish day, so please bring your own fishing equipment. If you have questions, or want to buy gear and could use some recommendations send us an email to let us know. You will need to purchase or have a valid Colorado fishing license for this event.
Additional details will be emailed to you ahead of the event so please register here, even though participation will not be capped.
