Volunteers needed to assist KDFWR staff in removal of invasive species at Higginson-Henry WMA! This WMA is experiencing significant problem with Autumn olive, an invasive shrub which outcompetes and displaces native plants. On August 27th we will assist in cutting down Autumn olive and spraying herbicide to prevent regrowth. We will meet at the WMA office, 6440 State Route 56 East Morganfield, KY 42437 at 8 a.m. and proceed to the work site. KDFWR will provide equipment, but please bring your own hatchet or small axe to use for cutting thicker vegetation.
