September is Public Lands Month!
Join the Iowa Chapter of BHA and the Iowa DNR on a habitat improvement project on a recently added tract of public land. We will be removing remnant fences at the Coulson Tract of the Heritage Hills WMA, located approximately 45 miles south of Des Moines. This is a great chance to get outside with family and friends and give back to our public lands before hunting season starts.
We will be gathering in the parking area off of Nature Lane near Lorimor and Murray, IA. Several DNR employees will be joining us, as well as members of other groups.
Please bring work gloves. Water will be available, but you are encouraged to bring your own beverage containers. We plan to finish before the kickoff of the Iowa/Iowa State Game.
