Pine Tree Research Station is a diamond in the rough in East Arkansas, providing one of the only public hunting and fishing opportunities in that part of the state.

The University of Arkansas acquired the land for a pittance, with the restriction that it would remain in public use.

The University tried to bypass the public and sell a large portion of the Pine Tree Research Station to a private hunting concern.  We have blocked their efforts for now, but if we don’t finish the fight, they could try to change the law again in a future legislative session.

The Arkansas Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers has been fighting that sale for nearly a year! We have made headway on our quest to Keep Pine Tree Public FOREVER, but now greater financial resources are needed for us to continue on effectively.

We call on everyone who wants to help maintain Pine Tree as a public resource: Help Arkansas Backcountry Hunters & Anglers fight to keep Pine Tree Research Station public!

Make a donation today toward our goal of $15,000.
