Join BHA and Partners to Enhance Elk Habitat in Greenwater
Come out with BHA, Conservation Northwest, WDFW, the Forest Service, and the Muckleshoot Tribe for a hands-on habitat project in the Greenwater area. Weโll be working to improve elk forage units by cutting back encroaching trees and ferns, thinning regeneration, and piling debris for a future prescribed burn. These efforts will promote the growth of nutritious grasses and improve habitat for the local elk herd.
๐ Date & Time: Saturday, May 17th โ meet at 8:30 AM at Wapiti Outdoors in Greenwater. The event will wrap up around 1:00 PM.
๐ Location: Wapiti Outdoors, 58414 State Route 410 E, Greenwater, WA 98022
๐ง What to Bring: Work gloves, sturdy boots, water, and protective eyewear. Tasks may include weed whacking, cutting brush, and piling slash.
