FENCE REMOVAL WORK PARTY IN METHOW WILDLIFE AREA
Grab your leather gloves and help the Washington chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife remove barbed wire fencing along the Golden Doe Unit in Okanogan County, Saturday, July 14.
The Methow has the largest migratory mule deer population in the state. As human development increases on the surrounding private property; the importance of improving and protecting these low-elevation winter habitats on public lands also grows.
Afterwards, we'll celebrate our hard work by firing up the grill and share a few adult beverages provided by Old Schoolhouse Brewery.
We'll meet at Hanks Harvest Foods, 412 E Methow Valley Hwy, Twisp, WA at 8am.
Please bring:
- Leather gloves
- Boots
- Work clothes
- Meat to throw on the grill afterwards
