Join BHA and HCCA on Tuesday, July 16th and learn how you can help shape the future management of the National Forests in your backyard. As hunters and anglers, it's critical that we engage in land management planning processes, to advocate for quality wildlife habitat, and to ensure that our interests are being represented.
The Grand Mesa Uncompahgre Gunnison National Forests, or GMUG for short, is entering a critical stage in a years long process that will determine how our National Forests will be managed for decades to come. It is critical that we show up and lend our voices for the values and resources that we care about. As the old adage goes - if we don't show up to the table we're on the menu.
Until July 29th we, the public, have the opportunity to comment on the Working Draft, that the Forest Service has developed. We can comment on what we like and suggest improvements to the plan that will help strengthen protections for wildlife habit where it is needed.
Matt Reed with HCCA will be leading a comment writing work shop on July 16 to help answer your questions and highlight specific concerns. This is a great opportunity to stand of for your values and lend your voice to our public lands and wildlife.
