Why You Should Want to Attend:
The Armed Forces Initiative is the BHA program focused on creating conservationists within the military community. Our dual-skills camps are designed to teach the military community how to get out and enjoy our public lands and waters through hunting or fishing.
What is it:
This Dual Skills Camp is a learn-to-hunt event. Attendees will be mentored through a squirrel hunting experience from the preparation and gear phase through the post-harvest meal prep. AFI mentors will host attendees talking through the ins and outs of squirrel hunting in SE Arizona. After hunting, our Fort Huachuca AFI Liaison will discuss how hunting affects conservation in AZ, what is the North American model of conservation, and how participants can use their voices as members of the military community to support BHA's conservation mission.
*Bring a lunch for our post-hunt event.*
