Invasive Plant Removal Work Party

thumbnail.jpg

Join the Florida Chapter for an invasive plant removal work party at Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, Saturday, January 14th.

We will be targeting the invasive Arrowhead vine which we’ll be pulling by hand. This vine grows very aggressively, choking out native species and degrading natural habitat. Work gloves and boots or hiking shoes recommended. All other tools and garbage bags will be supplied.

As you enter the refuge from Lee Rd. make your very first left. This road will dead end in a parking area where we will meet at 9:00 AM. We will be working in an area within walking distance from this lot. Lunch will be provided afterwards.

We hope you will join us!
