Where: Gravel pit South of Highway 50 ~ 40 Miles West of Austin NV
When: Saturday October 21st, 2023, 7:30 AM
Purpose: We will be removing old barbed wire fence and replacing it with ~ 1200 ft of 3-rail Bison fence around the Edwards Creek Head Waters Spring To protect the integrity of the spring
What to Bring: Personal Protective Equipment, (I.E. Gloves, Eye Protection, Sunscreen) Appropriate clothing for working and weather conditions, Plenty of Food and water (May be provided by NGOs)
ATV/UTV’s are encouraged roads get narrow and are not in ideal condition.
We will meet at the gravel pit / camp site at 7:30 AM before heading to the site at around 8 AM. Travel to the site will take about an hour and a half and is ~ 10 miles. Roads will be marked at turns. We will be removing old barbed wire fence and replacing it with a 3-rail Bison fence. Old materials will need to be removed from the site. We anticipate that this will take several hours to complete so plan for an entire day. We thank you for your time and effort and look forward to seeing you all.
