DuPage River Garbage Clean Up & Pack Out
Date: Sunday, September 26, 2021
Time: 9:00 – 12:00 AM
What: BHA to work with other individuals and organizations to clean up and pack out litter and garbage in or around the river valley. All garbage will be bagged and dropped off at sight shown below or taken with you.
Where: Three areas to clean up.
- Village of Shorewood, West Shore Park, Turtle Hill Park and park district area on east bank. Garbage drop off shown with red dots on map below.
- Float trip/cleanup of the DuPage. If you have your own canoe/kayak, put in @ Hammel Woods, RT 59, the Griton Trail Parking Lot. Take out @ Four Rivers. If floating with group, we plan to shove off at 9:00AM
- Any area that you may typically recreate on the DuPage
Celebrate: Come celebrate the work of the day and the end of Public Lands Month at Will County Brewery immediately after the cleanup, 12:00 – 1:30PM
