The Oregon Chapter has been advocating for Mule Deer in Deschutes County and the County's project to amend the Mule Deer Winter Range Combining Zone is entering the critical next phase. Your chapter board is in the process of reviewing and analyzing the proposed code amendments to prepare some questions for the information meetings and testimony for the Planning Commission hearing. We want to highlight these opportunities for supporters who want to learn more about the proposed amendments and project process. We encourage you to attend one of three public information sessions, where staff from Deschutes County and ODFW will share information and answer questions. Then, on April 13th, the Deschutes County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing and we are encouraging supporters to attend and testify.
