Field botanist & yard ecologist Aubree Keurajian and founder of CT Foraging Club Amy Demers will be co-teaching a class on foraging invasives. You will learn how to identify and utilize edible and medicinal invasive plants. We will also discuss how to sustainably harvest invasive plants in a way that will improve our ecosystem.
The class will consist of a 45-minute lecture, followed by a 45-minute walk, where we will practice plant and mushroom identification.
This class will be $30 per person. 10% of ticket sales will go back to BHA.

After class, participants are invited to join BHA to assist in invasive & trash removal at Naugatuck State Forest. Anyone is welcome to join us for free at 11:30 for the trash clean up.
Location Details:
The event will begin at the trailhead at the Western dead end of Hunters Mountain Rd, approximately ¼ mile past this address.
We will run the class rain or shine.
