Join McFly Outdoors and the students of West Virginia University BHA to celebrate National Public Lands Day by packing out trash at Cooper's Rock! Volunteers should meet at Glade Run Trail by Cooper's Rock trout pond at 10am. Clean-up will go for 2 hours. Trash bags and gloves will be provided. Volunteers should bring work gloves, closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, snacks and water.
This event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to come hang out and clean up our local public lands! Kids are welcome with proper supervision.
This event is a part of BHA's Public Land Pack Out, an annual event where members maintain the places they love by picking up and taking out thousands of bags of garbage left in the places everyone can call their own. Last year, during one of the most difficult times we can remember, BHA members broke a record and hefted 4,175 bags of garbage out from our public lands. And with your help in 2021, we hope to crush our 10,000 bag goal.
