Participants and sponsors will help to remove around 5 miles of barb wire fence to improve habitat connectivity for wildlife. Join us and lets demonstrate the power of the public lands community and our commitment to our wildlife resources.Public lands are vital to our Colorado way of life. They provide us with adventure and solace, support our local communities, are the foundation of our outdoor recreation economy, and they are critical to supporting healthy wildlife populations.This is a Rain, Snow, or Shine Event. The workday may be cancelled or delayed due to inclement weather and road conditions, however the I Bar Festival is on either way. Bring clothes for all possibilities. Remember there is no such thing as bad weather in Colorado, just poor layering choices. WHY ATTEND THIS EVENTThe FunPublic land champions and enthusiasts from across the state will be coming together in Gunnison to celebrate our public lands, by getting their boots on the ground to improve wildlife habitat, enjoy some great music featuring Storm Pass, meet new people around the campfire, win great prizes, free swag and door prizes, interact with some of their favorite outdoor brands, and to campout underneath the stars together. The I Bar Ranch is located close to town with great food and drink options on site and close by. We hope you will join us for whats sure to be the biggest Colorado Public Lands Day Celebration of the year. Stay tuned for a detailed event program, venue information, and details about onsite food and beverage options.The ImpactSupport for public lands in Colorado has never been stronger but with the growing demand for outdoor recreation, there are associated impacts on wildlife and habitat. This event creates an informal festival-like setting for user groups, public land owners, and recreation businesses to come together. We will build relationships while engaging in boots-on-the-ground stewardship.The Camping & FoodI-Bar Ranch is a 10-acre property with ample room for camping and parking. The facility includes 12 restrooms, 63 picnic tables, and a large central pavilion.The I-Bar will be providing food and beverage options for purchase around meal times. Please note personal food and beverages are only permitted in the camping area. Please plan on bringing cook stoves and fuel if you intend to cook your own meals.Campers, tents, and your camp setups are welcome. No generators after 9pm. Pets are allowed in the camping area if they are on leash but they are not permitted in venue area. Please plan on bringing cook stoves and fuel if you intend to cook your own meals.
