Hunting for Sustainability: Learn to Hunt Big Game

Have you been interested in hunting but haven't had the chance to learn? Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, in partnership with Timber to Table Guide Service, is offering a free, all-inclusive program that will introduce you to big game hunting in Colorado including sessions on firearm safety, access to public lands, ethical hunting, the history of conservation, and how to care for and butcher your harvest.

Workshop will take place in Hotchkiss, Colorado. Meals are included and heated wall tents will be provided for overnight stay, but you'll need to bring your own sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and appropriate clothing for "camping" in mid-November weather. You will spend the days on-site with your fellow classmates and workshop leaders. You'll participate in educational sessions and field trainings with fellow new hunters, wildlife experts, and mentors.

No hunting licenses or experience is necessary to participate!

TO APPLY:

Workshop is limited to 12 participants. To apply, fill out the application below by Monday, October 31st. You will be notified on or before November 4th regarding your application.

*Workshop is open to everyone but students and new/novice hunters will be prioritized.

We are no longer accepting applications at this time.
