Backcountry Hunters & Anglers Kicks-off the Hunting Season with Fair Chase Adventure Films, Beverages and Raffles
MONTROSE, CO – The sportsmen conservation organization, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is hosting two showings of the popular Hunting Film Tour at the Ruby Cinema in Gunnison on October 1st and Two Rascals Brewing in Montrose on October 2nd. Doors for both shows open at 6:00 PM, with the show starting at 7:00 PM.
The Hunting Film Tour attracts outdoor enthusiasts of all ages with its exciting story-driven content from hunting adventurers from around the globe. “The Hunting Film Tour captures the excitement & diversity of hunting in a great cinematic and artistic manner,” said event organizer Doug Clowers. “It’s an excellent opportunity to celebrate the beginning of hunting season while spreading the word about the work that Colorado Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is doing to conserve Western Colorado’s wildest public lands and waters.”
Formed in Oregon ten years ago, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers now has membership in all 50 states with 17 state chapters. The Colorado chapter has been actively working to protect roadless habitat in throughout Western Colorado through boots-on-the-ground hard work and advocacy.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary and the beginning of hunting season, BHA will be raffling off over $3000 in prizes. Among them, a Kimber .380 Micro-Carry Pistol, a Seek Outside LBO tent and titanium stove, a clothing package from First Lite, Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400 Boots, Vortex Diamondback binoculars, Mystery Ranch Backpack plus much more from local sponsors. Raffle ticket holders need not be present to win.
