Colby Hawkinson

coby hawkinson-2Colby Hawkinson grew up hunting and fishing in Oregon. Later, he moved to Idaho where he worked as a guide for 15 years on rivers in the Frank Church Wilderness and in the Copper River drainage of Alaska. During his time in Idaho, Colby hunted and fished and the roadless areas of the Clearwater Basin and became an active BHA member. He's now back in Oregon where he helps manage the Rogue River and does wildland firefighting for the BLM. In his off time, Colby hunts deer and elk in the roadless areas east of the Cascades, chases salmon & steelhead on the Rogue, and volunteers as a Hunter Safety Instructor. He is thankful to be able to help BHA protect traditional hunting and fishing opportunities for the future generations.
