Hot off the Press! Texas BHA has been awarded a grant to enhance our public land on the upper coast. Join us on October 29, to support our cordgrass planting effort on the Texas Mid-Coast Refuge Complex. This planting effort will help preserve and restore critical coastal wetland habitat for a variety of waterfowl and coastal fishes.
Please RSVP no later than 9 pm this Thursday, October 20 so we can make transportation arrangements to the planting site and provide refreshments for our volunteers.
Meet at the Chocolate Bayou Public Boat Ramp off FM2004. GPS coordinates: 29.211972276063243, -95.20860555677947 at 7:30 am on Saturday, October 29.
Volunteers will be working in shallow coastal waters and should plan to wear waders and clothing appropriate for an October wade fishing or duck hunting trip depending on weather.
