Join Montana BHA and the USFWS for a fence removal and campout along the Missouri River in the amazing breaks habitat of the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge. We will meet at 8am on Saturday, April 26th at the Lower Slippery Ann campground and work until 5pm. We will have camp setup from Friday through Sunday. You are welcome to join us on Friday night or meet us on Saturday morning. If you plan to arrive later than 8am on Saturday please make arrangements with Manning prior to arrival because cell phone reception is very limited. A wild game dinner will be provided on Friday and Saturday night and lunch will be provided on Saturday, but please bring water, snacks and anything else you will need for the work day.

Directions to the Lower Slippery Ann campground (campground symbol shown in map above): From Hwy 191 turn onto the north entrance to the CMR Auto Tour Route. Stay on the Auto Tour Route for 13.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 201. Turn left (east) on 201 and proceed for 1.8 miles and then turn right (south) into the camping area with a vault toilet.
The route to the fence section to be removed is also shown in the map above. Highlighted in yellow terminating at the star.
Note: The south entrance to the Auto Tour Route is closed at the Duvall Creek bridge due to construction work.
