National Trails Day is a volunteer driven day of trail maintenance and improvements to the trail system, in collaboration with the American Hiking Society, Challis Community Trails Collaborative, American Hiking Society, and the Bureau of Land Management Idaho.
Volunteers can expect to perform light to moderate trail maintenance activities, including installing and fixing signs, picking up litter, installing water bars, and clearing overgrown brush.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring extra water, protective clothing, sunscreen, and (optional) mountain bike. Meet at Blue Mountain Trailhead, located at the end of Dump Road, Challis, Idaho.
A thank you lunch will be provided starting at Noon.
