Come join Montana BHA chapter leaders and other BHA members to get some work done for our public lands. We will be doing trail maintenance along the Carpp Lake Trail in the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest near Philipsburg. This project will go from 9am on August 12 - midafternoon August 14. We will work out of a base camp set up at the Carpp Lake Trail Head and hike into the wilderness area each day from there. MTBHA will provide the tools and guidance to get the work done. There will be free time in the evenings to explore the surrounding trails and streams, fish for Westslope Cutthroat Trout in Carpp Lake or admire sunset views of Warren Peak.
Volunteers will need to bring their own camping gear, work gloves, day packs and work/hiking boots. BHA will provide dinner Friday night and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning. Volunteers need to plan on providing their own lunches Friday to Sunday. And we will leave dinner Saturday to volunteers so they can explore on their own. Please do not bring dogs as it will not be safe to have them around tools.
