Boise State BHA Hosts Meet and Greet Hike

Boise State BHA Vice President, Sabrina Schuler, led club members on a Meet-and-Greet hike near Orchard Gulch along Mt. Shaw Road. Along with their tour guide pup, Quincy, the group of four hiked 1,500-2,000 feet in elevation before heading back to the car where Sabrina served homemade venison stew. The group spotted plenty of mule deer, but were mindful of keeping their disturbance to a minimum acknowledging the challenges of wintering animals.

The club will be tabling on quad in late February focusing on building their club membership. In early March, the club is hosting SHEDFEST, getting club members outside and on the hunt for dropped antlers. Mid-March club members will have the opportunity to learn about pack goats from Mr. Marc Warnke followed by a talk about hunting and conservation and its importance to public land, wildlife, and habitat. The club is also providing volunteers for Idaho Fish and Game's fire restoration plantings throughout the month of March.
